H.CON.RES. 72, Expressing the sense of Congress that benefits should not be reduced

If signed into law, H.CON.RES. 72 would express the sense of Congress that any legislative language approved by the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction should not reduce benefits for Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid recipients.

Rep. John Conyers (MI-14) introduced H.CON.RES. 72 on August 1, 2011. It has since been referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, and to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
