The Notch Baby Act, if signed into law, would amend the Social Security Act with respect to the benefit computation formula used for those persons born between 1917 and 1926, or Notch Babies. The formula is slightly different than that used in the Notch Fairness Act and does not have a cap on costs.
Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-8) introduced this bill on January 7, 2011. It was referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means, where it is pending further action.
