H.R. 2590, Seniors Protection Act of 2011

If signed into law, the Seniors Protection Act would ensure that seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities who receive Social Security and certain other benefits receive a one-time $250 payment due to there being no cost-of-living adjustment in 2011.

Rep. Joseph Crowley (NY-7) introduced H.R. 2590 on July 19, 2011. It has since been referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials.
