If signed into law, the Supporting Our Seniors COLA Act would provide a $250 payment to recipients of Social Security and certain other benefits in 2011, and in subsequent years when there is no cost-of-living adjustment.
Rep. Paul Tonko (NY-21) introduced H.R. 2711 on July 29, 2011. It has since been referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials.
