H.R. 3613, Part D Beneficiary Appeals Fairness Act

If signed into law, the Part D Beneficiary Appeals Fairness Act would amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to create an appeals process for Medicare Part D beneficiaries who rely on costly prescription drugs in the “specialty tiers.”

Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-4) introduced H.R. 3613 on December 8, 2011. It has since been referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and to the Committee on Ways and Means.
