TSCL Seniors’ Health Initiative
When TSCL’s Board of Trustees learned that the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was keeping under wraps a new policy initiative to regulate Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) products, which could adversely affect seniors’ Medicare and Social Security benefits they decided to bring this concern to the FDA’s attention.
In an effort to be better informed of future regulatory changes, the Board launched the TSCL Seniors’ Health Initiative. The initiative is designed to: (a) monitor the federal government’s regulatory activities governing health care; and (b) take action, as the Board from time to time authorizes, to protect the (sometimes unique) health care needs of America’s seniors.
