If signed into law, S. 31 would require the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to negotiate covered Part D prescription drug prices on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries.
Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN) introduced S. 31 on January 6, 2015. It has since been referred to the Committee on Finance.
