S. 99, Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Act

If adopted, S. 99 would provide for the negotiation of lower covered Part D drug prices on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries and the establishment of a formulary by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under Medicare Part D.

Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) introduced S. 99 on January 10, 2019. It has since been referred to the Committee on Finance.
