Holiday Recess Continues
Lawmakers in the House and Senate remained in their home states and districts this week to continue the holiday recess. They will return to Capitol Hill to begin the second session of the 113th Congress in early January 2014.
While adjourned, some Members of Congress will hold town hall meetings and attend local events. TSCL urges its members and supporters to attend town halls in the coming weeks, since they are an excellent opportunity for constituents to voice their concerns about potential benefit cuts and to have their most pressing questions addressed.
The following Members of Congress, among others, will hold town halls in the very near future: Reps. Paul Broun (GA-10), Steven Horsford (NV-4), Lynn Jenkins (KS-2), John Lewis (GA-5), Keith Rothfus (PA-12), Todd Young (IN-9), Gene Green (TX-20), Marc Veasey (TX-33), and Brad Sherman (CA-30).
For more information, or to see if your Members of Congress have scheduled town halls during the holiday recess, contact their local offices. You can find contact information HERE, on our website.
