This week, Members of Congress returned to their home states and districts for a two-week spring recess.
Spring Recess Begins
This week, lawmakers adjourned for the spring recess. They are expected to return to Washington on Monday, April 13th. In the meantime, many lawmakers will be holding town hall meetings in their home states and districts. The Senior Citizens League (TSCL) encourages its members and supporters to participate in these events since they are an excellent opportunity for constituents to voice their concerns and have their most pressing questions addressed.
The following lawmakers, among others, have scheduled town halls during the spring recess: Sen. Mike Crapo (ID), Sen. Jerry Moran (KS), Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (WI-5), Rep. John Shimkus (IL-15), Rep. Katherine Clark (MA-5), Rep. Mike Coffman (CO-6), Rep. Leonard Lance (NJ-7), Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-2), Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-7), Rep. Tim Huelskamp (KS-1), Rep. Markwayne Mullin (OK-2), Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-4), Rep. Ted Yoho (FL-3), and Rep. Tom Emmer (MN-6).
