Spring Recess Continues for House
On Monday, lawmakers in the Senate returned from their two-week spring break, while those in the House remained in their home districts for an additional week. They are expected to return to Washington on Tuesday, April 12th, to continue their work on a budget resolution that would fund the federal government past September 30th.
Several representatives in the House will be attending local events and holding town hall meetings during the final days of the spring recess. The following Members of Congress, among others, have scheduled town halls in the coming days: Reps. Diane Black (TN-6), Elizabeth Esty (CT-5), Garret Graves (LA-6), Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-1), Seth Moulton (MA-6), Tom Rice (SC-7), Adam Smith (WA-9), Luke Messer (IN-6), Mark Walker (NC-6), Suzanne Bonamici (OR-1), Niki Tsongas (MA-3), Paul Gosar (AZ-4), and Jim Sensenbrenner (WI-5).
The Senior Citizens League encourages its members and supporters to attend town hall meetings since they are an excellent opportunity for constituents to voice key concerns and have their most pressing questions answered.
